Harrisonburg, Va – The Lady Pirates basketball team got 19 points from Jermany Mapp in a losing effort at James Madison on Sunday 78-60.

Hampton stayed with the Dukes early in the first quarter, but the Dukes began to pull away with consecutive three-pointers by Jamia Hazel that made the score 15-8 with 2:41 left in the quarter. JMU would lead by nine after the first and then the lead ballooned to 16 by halftime. The Dukes maintained that momentum throughout the rest of the game.

Madison Buford scored 14 points for the Lady Pirates while Nylah Young would add 13 points.

The Lady Pirates will travel to Williamsburg on Nov. 29 to take on William & Mary at 7 pm.
