HAMPTON, Va. (January 25, 2025) … The Hampton Pirates close out a four-game homestand on Sunday afternoon hosting the UNCW Seahawks in a CAA Women's Basketball contest at 2 p.m. inside the Convocation Center.
SERIES VS. UNCW
Hampton holds a 4-3 lead in the all-time series with the Seahawks and have won three of the last four meetings. The teams split last season with each winning on their home floor as Hampton won 72-50 on Jan. 21, 2024 and UNCW taking a 77-70 win on Feb. 4, 2024.
ABOUT HAMPTON
Hampton is coming off its first CAA win of the season taking down Towson 61-58 on Friday night.
Jasha Clinton had 19 points and
Aisha Dabo added 14 points and five rebounds to lead the Pirates. Hampton outscored Towson 15-5 in the first and 25-15 in the fourth leading to the win. The Pirates forced 30 turnovers and converted those into 26 points
Clinton leads the team in scoring averaging 14.3 points per game, while Thomas is next (8.0 ppg), followed by
Jenae Dublin at 7.7 points and a team-best 5.2 rebounds per game with Dabo at 7.5 ppg.

Senior guard
Amyah Reaves is approaching the top 10 career assists list for Hampton. The Chandler, Arizona native has 246 assists in her Pirate career and is 10 away from tenth place held by Lineni Noa with 256.
CLINTON NEARING 1,000 CAREER POINTS
Senior
Jasha Clinton is approaching the 1,000-career point mark after her 19-points against Towson on Friday night. The Virginia Beach native has scored 927 points in her collegiate career with 243 coming this season to date.

UNCW fell to William & Mary 78-55 at Kaplan Arena on Friday night. Tia Dobson had 14 points to lead four in double figures, while Ali Zelaya, Taylor Henderson and Evan Miller adding 10 apiece.
Henderson leads the Seahawks in scoring at 11.9 points and second in rebounds at 6.0 per game. Miller is chipping in 10.3 points per game, while Zelaya is averaging 10.3 points and leads the team in rebounds at 8.7 per game.
