HAMPTON, Va. (April 16, 2026) … The Hampton University softball team will conclude their 2026 home schedule this weekend hosting Charleston at the HU Softball Stadium.
Game one of the three-game set will be Friday at 3 p.m., with game two also at 3 p.m. on Saturday and the finale on Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Pirates are 9-27 overall and 3-15 in league play after taking one at Elon last weekend. In their 6-2 win on April 11,
Carmynn Bonner was 3-for-3 and
Camryn Hamilton was 3-for-4 with a solo home run.
Bonner leads the team in batting average (.400), hits (44), doubles (8), runs scored (18), home runs (5), RBIs (24), slugging percentage (.609), on-base percentage (.443) and OPS (1.052).
Riley Bohanon is second in average (.317) and runs scored (13), followed by
Violet Salazar (.311) and she is second in hits (32) and doubles (6).
Ava Lester and
McKenzie Rimmer-Jones share the team lead in wins with four, while Rimmer-Jones holds a slim 37-31 lead in strikeouts over Lester.
CARMYNN BONNER WATCH
Bonner enters the last three weekends of the regular season 12 hits from 200 for her career and seven RBIs from 100.

ABOUT CHARLESTON
The Cougars are 21-22 on the year and 10-5 in CAA play. They defeated Coastal Carolina 9-6 on Tuesday night at home with a seven-run bottom of the sixth.
Charleston has two of the top 10 hitters in the CAA in Bronwyn Conroy (.387) and Leela Langston (.380) who are eighth and ninth in the league respectively.
They also have three of the top seven in the league in stolen bases with Conroy (32) ranking first, Austy Miller (14) tied for third and Langston (11) tied for seventh.
Mackenzie Mathis leads the Cougars on the mound with a 12-6 record and a 3.40 ERA. She's allowed 69 runs, 52 earned, and struck out 92 in 107 innings.
SENIOR DAY
Senior Day will be celebrated on Sunday as the series ends with a 1 p.m. start. The pre-game ceremony will be at approximately 12:40 p.m.
SERIES VS. CHARLESTON
Charleston leads the all-time series 12-3. Hampton took two of three from the Cougars the last time they played at Hampton in 2024 winning game one 6-5 in 11 innings and taking game three 8-3.
Last year in Charleston, the Cougars won 9-4, 10-2 and 7-1.
