Hampton University senior rightside Vendula Strakova was named HU Athlete of the Week for her performance on the volleyball court this past week.

Strakova (Brno, Czech Republic) averaged 4.75 kills per set in matches against VCU and Norfolk State this past week, and she hit a combined .289 over the course of eight sets played. She recorded her 12th double-double of the season against VCU, tallying 24 kills and 12 digs.
 
She added 14 kills on Sunday at Norfolk State, leaving her four shy of tying the program’s all-time career kills record (1,472 held by Chavanca Hoskins).
