Hampton University senior setter Kitija Megne was named HU Athlete of the Week for her performance on the volleyball court this past week.

Megne (Kuldiga, Latvia) totaled 122 assists in three matches for the Lady Pirates this past week, averaging 11.1 assists per set. She tallied 52 assists on Sunday in a five-set loss at Howard, and she also had a double-double in that contest with 10 digs.
 
She also had 10 digs at NJIT on Friday, to go along with 30 assists. Megne also had three aces for the week, while recording four kills each at NJIT and at Howard.
