Hampton University senior Ce'aira Brown was named HU Athlete of the Week following her record-breaking performance on the track this past weekend.

Brown was named Most Outstanding Runner at the MEAC Indoor Track & Field Championships after having a hand in winning four events (800-meter run, mile run, 3,000-meter run, distance medley). She set new MEAC records in the 800-meter run (2:05.19) and mile run (4:51.63).

She also broke her own school record in the mile run, besting second place by nearly 15 seconds. Brown's performance helped the Lady Pirates win their sixth straight MEAC indoor title.
