Reginald Johnson, Jr. was named HU Athlete of the Week following his performance this past week on the basketball court.

Johnson was named Most Outstanding Player of the MEAC Tournament after helping the Pirates win their second straight title this past week. He averaged 19.3 points and 8.3 assists per game in the tournament, and he scored 21 points in the championship game against South Carolina State.

In the quarterfinals, Johnson scored 18 points and tied the tournament record for assists in a game with a career-high 13.
