Hampton University senior Jasmin Branch was named HU Athlete of the Week following her performance on the cross country course this past Saturday.

Branch (Hampton, Va.) paced the Lady Pirates on Saturday as they won the 2010 MEAC cross country crown in Princess Anne, Md. She ran a career-best 18:27.40 on the 5K course to finish fourth in the individual standings and earn All-MEAC honors for the fourth straight year.

Branch led four Lady Pirates to earn All-MEAC honors. The Lady Pirates won the MEAC cross country title for the first time since 2006.
