Hampton University junior forward Danny Agbelese was named HU Athlete of the Week following his outstanding performance on the basketball court.

Agbelese (Lanham, Md.) has totaled 13 blocks and 25 rebounds over his last three games. After blocking five shots and grabbing five rebounds at Morgan State on Jan. 10, Agbelese blocked five shots -- all in the first half -- and pulled down eight rebounds on Saturday against Norfolk State.

He followed that with three more blocks and a career-high 12 rebounds -- in just 14 minutes -- against North Carolina A&T on Monday. He also scored six points.
