Hampton University junior guard Kwame Morgan was named HU Athlete of the Week after his outstanding performance on the basketball court.

Morgan (Largo, Md.) led the Pirates to wins last week over North Carolina A&T and Bethune-Cookman en route to being named MEAC Player of the Week for the second time this season. Against North Carolina A&T, Morgan scored a career- and MEAC season-high 36 points, while shooting 50.0 percent from both the floor (11-for-22) and 3-point range (6-for-12). He was also a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line in both games.

For the week, Morgan averaged 24.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals.
