Hampton University senior Racquel Vassell was named HU Athlete of the Week for the second straight week after her outstanding performance on the track.

Vassell (Irvington, N.J.) won two event titles and recorded two more top-five finishes on Saturday in the Terrapin Invitational at the Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex in Landover, Md. She ran a 24.69 to win the 200-meter dash, while also helping the 4x400-meter relay team take gold with a 3:50.32.

Vassell, a three-time MEAC Athlete of the Week this season, also finished third in the 60-meter hurdles with an 8.42 and ran a season-best 7.60 in the 60-meter dash to come in fourth.
