Hampton University junior guard Darrion Pellum was named HU Athlete of the Week after his outstanding performance on the basketball court.

Pellum (Hampton, Va.) keyed Hampton's 86-72 win at Norfolk State on Saturday, pouring in 26 points on 8-for-16 shooting and a 4-for-7 effort from behind the arc. Pellum scored 18 of his 26 points in the second half to lift the Pirates (19-5, 9-2 MEAC) to their fourth straight win.

Pellum also had two rebounds, an assist and a steal in the win.
