ORLANDO, Fla. – The men's tennis team returned to action on Sunday starting its annual Spring Break trip to Orlando as they split a pair of matches.  Hampton dropped a 4-0 decision to Florida A&M, and later fell 5-2 to Norfolk State.
Against Norfolk State, Hampton won the doubles point as
Fernando Fernandes and
Matthew Foster-Estwick won 6-4 at line one doubles.Â
Peter Odegbami and
Luke Thompson took the win at line three by the same 6-4 score to give Hampton the team point. In singles, Thompson won the only match for Hampton at line four winning 6-2, 4-6, 1-0.
The Pirates may add a match on the schedule in Florida but as of now they'll next see action against Creighton on Thursday.
