HAMPTON, Va. (Nov. 6, 2024) … The Hampton University women's basketball team faces their first road challenge of the season as they visit former Big South rival Radford for an 11 a.m. contest on Thursday.

Hampton leads the all-time series 16-6. In the last match-up, Hampton claimed a 55-49 win on March 1, 2022 at the Big South Tournament in Charlotte. The lone member of that team still on the Hampton roster,
Amyah Reaves, came off the bench to score nine points with five steals in 37 minutes of action. The Lady Pirates swept all three meetings that season.
Against Bowie State,
Jasha Clinton scored 18 points with 11 of those coming in the final quarter. Hampton held a two point lead entering the final quarter, but outscored Bowie State 22-14 in the final 10 minutes to win. The win was the first for head coach Tamisha Augustin.
Aisha Dabo, Janae Dublin and
Le'Asia Foreman all had eight points apiece, while Foreman also had seven rebounds and five steals to lead the team in those categories.
Radford dropped its opener at 11
th-ranked Duke 89-36 on Monday as Cate Carson topped the Highlanders with 10 points.
Hampton returns home on November 16 for the Battle of the Bay as they host Norfolk State at 5 p.m.
