HAMPTON, Va. (March 11, 2024) … No. 12-seed Hampton (3-25, 3-15) will take on No. 13-seed Hofstra (9-20, 3-15) on Wednesday, March 13 at 2:00 p.m. in the first game of the 2024 CAA Women's Basketball Championship presented by Primis. The five-day tournament will be held at the Entertainment & Sports Arena in Washington, D.C. for the first time in league history from March 13-17.

The Lady Pirates beat Hofstra twice this season. Hampton topped the Pride, 67-62, on Jan. 28 at the Hampton Convocation Center and completed the season sweep on March 1 with a 48-42 win in Hempstead, N.Y.
 
Stony Brook won the regular season title outright and will be the top seed in the championship. The defending CAA Champion, Monmouth, will be seeded second after ending the year on a seven-game winning streak. Charleston won a program record 13 CAA games to earn the third seed and went 2-0 against North Carolina A&T, who also had 13 league victories and is seeded fourth, collecting the final bye into the quarterfinals.
