RICHMOND, Va. (Oct. 2, 2025) … The Hampton University men's tennis team returns to action in Richmond, Va. in the River City Open. The tournament field consists of the Pirates, Virginia, VCU, Longwood, James Madison, Georgetown, Navy, William & Mary and Bucknell.

The Pirates are coming off a weekend in which they traveled to Wilmington, N.C. to play in the Porter's Neck Invitational. Hampton recorded a total record of 8-8 in singles while adding a 3-2 record in doubles. 

Kohei Konishi and Tsihon Fedorov have put together an impressive fall in doubles, posting a 3-0 record in the first two tournaments. Last year in the River City Open, Aryan Arora posted a 1-1 record in singles.
