NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (Sept. 15, 2025) ... The Hampton University men's tennis team opened its fall season in the CNU Duals over the weekend. The team took on Christopher Newport, Longwood and Mary Washington. This was a mock dual and no team scores were awarded.
On day one, the Pirates faced off with the host, Christopher Newport, winning four out of five singles matches. Hampton dropped two of three in doubles with Benedict Badza and Tshion Fedorov earning the lone win.
Hampton battled with the Mary Washington and Longwood on day two. Kohei Konishi and Aryan Arora picked up singles wins against the Eagles while the Lancers were able to keep the Pirates in check in the latter half of the day. Fedorov finished the weekend with a perfect 3-0 record in doubles, picking up two wins on Saturday with Konishi.Â
Hampton posted a 6-9 record in singles and 3-6 in doubles.
