Played in seven games for the Volunteers… rushed for 169 yards on 45 carries… had one touchdown on the season, against Arkansas State… ran for a season-high 101 yards on 15 carries against Arkansas State… ran for 17 yards on six carries against South Carolina… also had 17 yards on eight carries against Georgia… ran for 12 yards on five carries at Alabama… returned 21 kicks on the season for 560 yards… returned six kicks for a season-high 207 yards at Florida… also returned six kicks for 134 yards at Alabama.

 

Played in 11 games for the Volunteers, starting four… finished as leading freshman rusher and seventh overall among SEC ball carriers with average of 63.3 yards per game (696 yards)… rushed 11 times for 53 yards in collegiate debut against Cal, with a long of 22… first career reception was a 48-yard touchdown pass from Lucas Taylor against Florida… holds third-longest rush in Tennessee history, an 89-yard score against Marshall… longest run by an SEC player in 2006… had 146 yards on eight carries against Marshall… made first career start against Memphis, running for 125 yards on 26 carries… had 12 carries for 57 yards and four receptions for 33 yards at Georgia… recorded first four career kickoff returns in that game… returned four kickoffs for 66 yards against Auburn… missed two games due to injury… rushed nine times for 51 yards at Arkansas… had 126 yards on 10 carries against Vanderbilt… scored game-winning touchdown against Kentucky, finishing with 90 yards on 22 carries… had a 42-yard touchdown run in the Outback Bowl against Penn State.

Finalist for Mr. Football… named honorable mention All-State as a senior… rushed for 893 yards and 11 touchdowns in five games as a senior… earned 2003 All-State and Class 5A Back of the Year honors after rushing for 1,293 yards and 14 touchdowns… three-year starter at tailback… started one game at free safety… led Antioch to state playoffs twice… also track & field standout, winning 200-meter dash state title as a sophomore and 100-meter dash as a junior.
