Hampton University senior Aaryn Harrison was named HU Athlete of the Week following her historic performance on the court this past weekend.

Harrison (Cary, N.C.) totaled 21 kills over the weekend as Hampton fell to Maryland Eastern Shore and beat Howard on the road. With an 11-kill performance on Sunday at Howard, Harrison became just the fourth player in Lady Pirate history to reach 1,000 kills for her career.

Harrison now has 1,003 career kills. she joins Chavanca Hoskins (1,472), LaJaiah Miles (1,249) and Nicole Adams (1,244) on the 1,000-kill list.
