HAMPTON, Va. – The Hampton University volleyball team gave its three senior s a great send-off Friday night at Holland Hall, upending Howard 3-1 (25-18, 25-27, 25-20, 25-18) in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) action.

All three seniors – Aaryn Harrison (Cary, N.C.), Lina Cordoba (Bogota, Colombia) and Ivana Suput (Zitiste, Serbia) – were a huge part of the Lady Pirates' win. Harrison led the team with 16 kills, committing just three errors to hit .342, while Cordoba added 12 kills and hit a team-best .500 with just two errors in 20 attacks.

Suput had a match-high 22 digs on defense. Harrison also led the Lady Pirates with three service aces.

The Lady Pirates (7-22, 3-6 MEAC) hit .223 for the match, with 51 kills and just 22 errors in 130 attacks. Hampton hit a team-best .345 (14 kills, four errors in 29 attacks) in the fourth set, while also hitting .256 (17 kills, seven errors in 39 attacks) in the second set.

Howard (7-18, 4-4 MEAC) hit .144 as a team, with 41 kills and 22 errors in 132 attacks. The Lady Bison committed seven errors in the third set and eight in the fourth.

Junior Juliana Chavez (Bogota, Colombia) led Hampton with 38 of the team's 43 assists, while junior Mianna Armstrong (Lomond, Alberta) and freshman Sheileen Pagan (Rio Grande, Puerto Rico) each added seven kills.

Armstrong added 10 digs on defense, while Pagan had nine digs to fall shy of her third career double-double.

Tosin Elebute led Howard with 13 kills.

The Lady Pirates will return to action on Sunday, when they head to Baltimore, Md. to take on Morgan State at 3 p.m. in their last conference match of the season.
