HAMPTON, VA. – The Hampton University women's soccer team will conclude their 2016 season this weekend with a pair of matches at the Hampton University Soccer Complex adjacent to Armstrong Stadium.
Friday afternoon they will face The Citadel in a 1pm kick, while on Sunday they'll conclude the season with a 2pm kick against South Carolina State University.
Hampton enters the weekend with a 2-6-1 record after losing 6-1 to Delaware State on October 16.Â
Sydney Jackson leads the team in goals scored (4), assists (3) and points (11).Â

Jordan Crawford have two goals apiece for the Lady Pirates. Â
Citadel is 4-11 after a 2-0 loss on to VMI on October 16. Samantha Nche leads the Bulldogs in goals scored (3) and points (7). Mady Riegel and Katherine Arroyo are next in goals scored with two, while three teammates have scored a goal each. Sam Waarum leads in assists with two, while Emille Valenciano leads in shots (42) and shots on goal (21).
South Carolina State is currently 2-11-1 with a Friday night game at Delaware State before heading to Hampton. Jacqueline Beristain leads them in goals (3), points (6) and shares the lead in shots (13) and shots on goal (8). Jamey Thomas and Justine Zepada have scored two goals each for SCSU. They lost to common opponents VMI (1-0) and University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (3-1) earlier in the year.
