HAMPTON, Va. (September 26, 2024) – The Lady Pirates volleyball team travels to Hempstead, N.Y. to visit the Hofstra Pride on Friday and Saturday of this weekend.
Friday, September 27, 6 p.m. – Hampton at Hofstra
Saturday, September 28, 1 p.m. – Hampton at Hofstra
The matches will occur at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex.
Last weekend, the Lady Pirates fell to the North Carolina A&T Aggies by a score of 3-0 in both matches.
So Far this Season
Ada Bulgur leads the team in kills with 62. Teammates
Cortni Adams and
Madison Clark follow with 53 and 52 respectively. Freshman
Morgan Warren has taken care of setting duties at 176 assists. Clark has 11 aces.
On the defensive side of the net, libero
Kylah Hunter has notched 116 digs and Adams has recorded 19 blocks.
Scouting the Hofstra Pride (5-6)
Emily Mansur is coaching the Pride in her 11th season with the program. Last season, the team finished with 18 victories and had two players earn postseason CAA honors. Hofstra has wins over Wake Forest, Navy, Army, Sacred Heart, and Stony Brook.
Izadora Stedile has earned 127 kills this season. Ellie Pamatat is the team's primary setter with 281 assists. Constanza Perez Sain has posted a team-high 22 aces. Chiara Cucco has tallied 189 digs and Emily Nunes 42 blocks.
Hofstra holds the advantage in the all-time series 2-0.
