NORFOLK, Va. (August 14, 2025) ... The 2025 Hampton University women's soccer opener against Delaware State on Thursday night had one uninvited guest - Mother Nature.

Storms rolled through the Hampton Roads region on Thursday night forcing the postponement of the contest with the Hornets after two hours of lightning. A makeup date is to be determined.

Hampton will attempt again to kick off its 2025 season on Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. facing Howard in the inaugural HBCU Women's Soccer Invitational at Audi Field in Washington, D.C. Tickets can be purchased by clicking here.
