2005 • JUNIOR SEASON
Appeared in all 12 games, getting the start against Howard and Savannah State… totaled 33 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks… 14 of his 33 tackles were solo stops… ranked third on the team in tackles for loss… his 4.5 sacks tied for the team lead amongst defensive linemen… led HU defensive linemen with four tackles at Gardner-Webb and a season-high nine versus South Carolina State… had at least three tackles in six games… turned in a great performance against the Bulldogs of South Carolina State with nine tackles (5 solo) and two tackles for loss, helping Hampton seize control of first place in the conference standings… registered two sacks and 1.5 tackles for loss in another solid effort at North Carolina A&T… recorded half a sack and a forced fumble against Richmond in the I-AA playoffs.

AT NORTH CAROLINA
Blizzard played two seasons at UNC as a defensive end … While with the Tar Heels, he collected 21 total tackles and four sacks … In 2004, he saw action in five games and registered five tackles … During the 2003 season, Blizzard posted 16 tackles, including 13 solo … Saw action in 10 games on the campaign, including starts against Clemson and Maryland … Had three sacks in a win against East Carolina (Oct. 11) … Made four tackles against Clemson, including three solo stops … Registered three tackles and one sack for three yards at Maryland (Nov. 1).

LAUREL HIGH SCHOOL
Alden Blizzard was rated as the No. 18 senior in the state of Maryland by SuperPrep … He was a three-year starter for the Spartans … Recorded 72 tackles and 10 sacks as a senior (2001) … Played on the interior defensive line as a sophomore and junior, but was moved to defensive end as a senior … Had 80 tackles and nine sacks in his junior campaign … Also saw action at tight end … Coached by Mike Rudden … Flexed his athletic skills by playing basketball as a junior.

Born as Alden Lee Blizzard on Oct. 12, 1984 … Enjoys playing basketball and video games … Likes to draw in his spare time as well … He is the brother of former Pirate Thomas Blizzard.
